About SIFT Workout- Functional Fitness
Regular physical activity also helps to maintain the functional independence of older adults and enhances the quality of life for people of all ages. (Healthy People 2010)
Functional Fitness focuses less on appearance and more on improving one's ability to perform activities of daily living (ADL's) and recreational activities. Unlike traditional exercise that focus on isolating a specific muscle, functional fitness focuses on using multiple muscle to perform an exercise or task with body awareness and core stabilization.
