ENERGY BOOSTERS: GET PUMPED UP

When asked, “Why do you want to exercise?” an astounding 80% of our members say, “to have more energy”. That is a wonderful goal! Here is a clever plan for getting more E.N.E.R.G.Y:

E is for Exercise: It is a must! Make daily exercise as a non-negotiable part of your day. Schedule it in as you would any other important event. Exercising is nature’s gift to us. It has been scientifically proven that endorphins are released during physical activity. Those endorphins give you a natural high and feeling of euphoria. Nothing makes a bad day better than an endorphin rush! So get out there and exercise!

N is for Nutrition: Food is Fuel for your body ~ No Fuel, No energy. Good nutrition repairs and replenishes our bodies. Take advantage of the of Nutritional Counseling that comes with membership. Plan for a healthy diet, take the guesswork out of what to eat, how much of it to eat, and what to shop for.

E is for Eating: Imagine that, you actually get to eat AND lose weight! To keep your metabolism revving and for optimal energy, eat five to six times a day—meals and healthful snacks. Space your calories evenly throughout the day to avoid sugar spikes and fatigue.

R is for Rest: Recent research shows that sleep deprivation affects how we lose weight; so for goodness’ sake sleep. Proper sleep helps your system to function better. Most importantly we repair our bodies when we sleep. A rested body creates more energy. Try a quick 20 minute nap late in the afternoon; it will help you perform with more energy for the rest of your day. Listen to your body and get rest when you need it.

G is for Guessing: Keep your body guessing what’s next. Keep your body AND mind guessing! It is important as you go through this self-improvement journey that you don’t fall into a rut. You will never get bored of exercising or eating healthy foods if you open yourself to different kinds of exercises or recipes. Keep it interesting—research has proven that those who diversify their exercise program and frequently incorporate different foods into their regime stick with their weight loss and are more likely to keep it off.

Y is for YOU: This journey isn’t about the scale’s measure; it is about your life! We all want to look and feel more energized; more “youthful”. Well, what is youthful? YOU~ FULL OF LIFE! Youth starts in the mind and then the body reflects it. “Think and act young; you will be so. Think and act old; it will be so.” You can be “Youthful” at any age. Don’t act your age, act yourself.
